How do I cook those baked potatoes?

I use Alton Brown's method--just use olive oil instead of canola.

What caught my eye ...

While I was disappointed by the election results (and fear my most common thought for the next four years will be "And to think, we could have had Mitt Romney as President!"), this comic (scroll down a little to read it [and be patient as it loads])  made me laugh out loud, and this Obama/Can't Touch This Speech Mash-up was a hoot.

Thank you, Mr. Romney

Mormonism Cost Romney the Election (But It's Not What You Think)

Fewer Mormons Voted for Romney than for Bush

This week's audience included people from Australia, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, New Zealand, South Africa, Ukraine, Venezuela, and the United Kingdom!

Two recipes that shouldn't be forgotten ...

Here are two recipes that I don't want to forget so I'm adding them to my recipe page:

Pork Loin Roast With Brown Sugar Glaze - This was easy and delicious.  I only needed half the glaze.  And if you are like me, and you get distracted while something like the glaze is becoming bubbly on the stove top, just microwave the it.  Two times for thirty seconds should make it bubbly.

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Acorns - Couldn't make them as pretty as the ones pictured, but the kids had a good time helping, and they were yummy.  Using chocolate candy coating instead of regular chocolate makes for easier dipping (if you want easier dipping using real chocolate, mix some coconut oil in it) and a quicker set time.  And straight pretzels work just fine and make a good handle as you pop these babies into your mouth.  Keep them refrigerated.
